Jesse Simmerman was the founder of Annapolis Soccer Club well over 30 years ago, and was the longtime General Manager of Annapolis Soccer Club until his recent retirement 2 years ago (Fall 2016). Jesse was also a co-founder of the Anne Arundel Youth Soccer Association (AAYSA) and the Arundel Cup Tournament. During Jesse’s guidance, Annapolis Soccer Club grew from a hundred or so players in the fall to almost 1,000 players for each of the fall, winter, and spring seasons. Many thousands of Anne Arundel youth soccer players and coaches grew up under Jesse’s leadership and are appreciative of introducing and promoting the game he loved and that we enjoy today. Jesse passed away on 10/7/18.
Jesse was committed to the game, the community, and the club. You should know that Jesse requested that he be buried in his ASC coach’s shirt.
Funds collected for "The Jesse Simmerman Scholarship GOAL!!!!!!!!" will be used to provide club fees for the players in our Annapolis community who are unable to afford the club fees as it was Jesse's goal to allow everyone a chance to play!
